I saw some co-participants in Scott Kelby’s Worldwide Photowalk Tacloban Leg (held last October 2, 2011) swinging their cams and hearing them utter, “panning.” And I stupidly asked myself, what in the world is “panning!?!” duh lol!
Incidentally, I came upon a facebook album by Sir Edgardo Roy Dolina (a member of The Camera Club of Leyte and Samar – the club who organized the photowalk) titled Sunday panning. The pics were bicycles in speeding motion. I was utterly starstruck by them. haha. I wanted to give it a try.
But it wasn’t that easy as it seemed to be. The post should be titled panning patience. lol. It requires a great deal of that. After several attempts, I finally figured out i needed a slow shutter speed. (and a combination of good timing & luck I guess, haha)
I need to take more shots. I badly want to. Oh, and I’m enjoying this.
And so, here are the pics. Bad pics, I know. lol
The cam mirror(?) obviously needs cleaning, the dark spots are noticeable. argh
